Adult Mental Health First Aid

Mental Health First Aid for Adults teaches people how to recognize signs of mental health or substance use challenges in adults ages 18 and older, how to offer and provide initial help, and how to guide a person toward appropriate care if necessary. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, psychosis, and addictions. This is an all day in-person training with limited capacity. Location of training inside the Harvest Baptist Association. The training will begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 24th. Participants will be dismissed for a 30-minute break for lunch. Participants are welcome to bring their own lunch or choose from one of the many restaurants in the near vicinity. Registration is required. This training is being offered for FREE thanks to the following community partners who have donated time and/or resources to ensure this training occurs: Harvest Baptist Association, Mighty Oak Christian Mental Health Services, and Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network.
Youth Mental Health First Aid

Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches adults working with young people how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges experienced among children and adolescents (ages 6 -18). Individuals will learn how to respond in both non-crisis and crisis situations. This is an all day in-person training with limited capacity. Location of training is in the Fellowship Hall of Springfield Baptist Church. The training will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 9th. Participants will be dismissed for a 30-minute break for lunch. Participants are welcome to bring their own lunch or choose from one of the many restaurants in the near vicinity. Registration is required. Recommended parking for this event is off of N. Willow Street. This training will take place in the fellowship hall of Springfield Baptist Church. This training is being offered for FREE thanks to the following community partners who have donated time and/or resources to ensure this training occurs: Robertson County Health Department, Springfield Baptist Church, Mighty Oak Christian Mental Health Services, and Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network.
